Kent Dance Challenge

Terms and Conditions

·        Any style of dance to music is acceptable

·        Schools are encouraged to introduce variety into their routines

·        Each dance routine must not exceed 4 mins

·        Dance troupes must consist of a minimum of four and a maximum of thirty dancers

·        It is the pre-condition of entry that the school/college participating in this function, acknowledge that they are responsible for the safety and actions of their pupils

·        Rehearsals on the stage will be from 10am to 4pm on the competition day only

·        No use of photography or videos equipment may be used during the day.

·        Organisers reserve the right to video /photograph  the event for publicity relevant to the event(s) and subsequent sale to participating individuals/schools and colleges

·        Entry fee  is £15.00 per routine, maximum of four routines

·        We do not take responsibility for any personal effects or valuables

·        Music must be provided on CD and be clearly marked with your name and the track number. It is your responsibility to collect your music after your performance

·        Entrants will be called back stage thirty minutes before performance, were you will wait and prepare until you are called to perform.  DO NOT go back stage until you have been called.

·        A maximum of four helpers allowed back stage at one time with any dance troupe

·        No smoking – chewing gum – Alcohol or bad language will be tolerated.

·        No Mobile phones allowed in the hall, front of house or backstage

·        Spectators fee £6.00 per seat and will be allocated on a first come first served basis

·        Schools are responsible for any copyright or performing licenses necessary for the material they use in advance, if required for the competition

·        The competition will be judged at two levels, 13 years and under and 14 years and over. A student may dance in a higher level but not a lower level

·        Please provide us with a copy of your insurance policy
